Round Fluted Black Tray With Mat

Product Brief Description

1. Vertical Flutes On A Matte Black Wall

The wall of the tray is milled with evenly spaced vertical flutes that run the full height and stop at a flat top edge. The ribs do two things at once. They break the silhouette so a dark round tray does not read as a flat disc, and they give fingers somethi ng to grip when the tray is lifted with one hand. A matte black finish keeps the light sitting on the ribs instead of bouncing off gloss, which is why a black fluted tray photographs better than a flat painted disc.

2. Twenty Eight Centimetres Across

The outer diameter is 28 cm, or 11.02 inches, and the inner base is 25 cm, or 9.84 inches, so the wall and rim take up about three centimetres of the footprint on each side. Height is 3 cm, or 1.18 inches: deep enough to hold a diffuser bottle and a folded towel without either tipping over the edge, shallow enough that a hand still reaches in. Those proportions are what let a round wooden tray like this one work on a narrow console without swallowing the surface.

3. Wood, Painted Rather Than Stained

The body is wood, sealed and sprayed matte black so the surface does not record fingerprints the way gloss does. Painting rather than staining keeps the colour even across every panel and lets it be matched to a buyer palette, which is why custom colour is the change most often asked for on a charger plate of this kind. Edges are sanded before the paint goes on, so the flutes stay crisp instead of rounding under the coat.

4. Vanity, Dresser And Entryway Styling

This is where most buyers put it first: perfume, a reed diffuser, rings on a small dish, a folded hand towel. The rim contains the clutter, and the matte black makes glass and gold read brighter against it. On a hallway console the same black fluted tray holds keys, sunglasses and a plant, and it keeps grit off the wood underneath. Bathroom and entryway photography sells a charger plate of this shape harder than any table setting does.

5. A Charger Plate At The Table

Laid flat under a dinner plate, the tray works as a charger plate: 28 cm sits comfortably beneath a standard 26 or 27 cm plate with a ring of black left showing. The rim stops a napkin or a piece of cutlery sliding off, and the depth hides a place card. Hotels use a black fluted tray this way for banqueting, because it reads formal against white linen without the polishing routine a metal charger needs between covers.

6. The Matching Honeycomb Mat

Each tray ships with a round mat 18 cm, or 7.08 inches, across and 0.6 cm, or 0.24 inches, thick, moulded with a dense honeycomb pattern and a small hole at the edge for hanging. The cells lift a glass or a warm dish off the surface and let air move underneath, and the mat works alone as a trivet or a coaster when the tray is being used for display. The mat material is [To Be Confirmed].

7. Care, Packing And Cartons

Wipe the painted surface of a round wooden tray with a damp cloth and dry it straight away; do not soak the tray, stack it wet or put it in a dishwasher. The mat rinses and air dries. Trays are packed one to a carton with a tissue wrap and corner protection, and custom packing, printed sleeves and barcode labels are applied in house. Carton dimensions and gross weight are [To Be Confirmed] until the outer size of a custom round tray is fixed.

8. Colour, Logo And Custom Runs

Because the body is painted rather than stained, a custom colour run can follow a palette or a season, and a logo goes on the inner base by print or laser. Minimum order is 200 pieces and custom designs are welcomed; diameter, wall height and flute pitch can be adjusted within the same tooling family. Grain, colour and flute spacing for a custom round tray are approved on a physical sample before the bulk run starts.
